Dog License Registration in Brunei
Not sure if you're aware about the news on 17th January 2020 (source from Brudirect.com). Pet dog owners or new owners are to register their dogs (any dogs over 3 months old) by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to the Dogs Act Chapter 60, Paragraph 4, failure to register the dogs, owners will face a fine of BND250 or 14 days imprisonment for the first offence, while for the second and the subsequent offences, will be fined BND500 or one month imprisonment. The registered dogs need to be collared with their dog tags at all times. For registered owners with dog tags but do not collar their dogs, action can be taken and if found guilty can be fined BND250 or one month imprisonment under the Dogs Act Chapter 60, Paragrah 5 Bracket One. Pet dogs owners are fully responsible for the pet dogs to always be within their house compound either in cage or leashed.
Anyways, I had just registered all my dogs last few days in the KB Branch. It's quite easy and fast!
Step 1 - Fill in the Dog Resgitration Form.
NO documents/photos required
(PS: You can register all your dogs in one form if they're staying in the same place/address).
Step 2 - Make payment. That's it - DONE!
